Identity Crisis

In today's world of privacy invasions it can be overwelming and discouraging.  But a few smart tips can ease the sting of privacy news.

First it is helpful to sign up for a free fraud alert through one of the credit bureau's website.  By law one agency is required to report the alert to all other agencies.

Second it is important to setup a pin with the IRS which is required when filing a tax return. This will keep those without the pin from filing a tax return.

The third step is to get email or text alerts from credit cards or banks when purchases are made over a set dollar amount. This will setup an alert in real time when unauthorized purchases are processed without prior knowlege.

In today's world you need to be armed with the tools necessary to be smart and safe in this digital world.
